Although Vijay has represented numerous early and established technology companies, as well as large institutions, in identifying and resolving complex problems and legal issues, Vijay focuses on the particular make-up of a client’s business with a view to delivering effective, tailored solutions for its needs.

• As day-to-day counsel to his clients, Vijay advises clients in connection with technology licensing matters, including inbound and outbound licenses, as well as technology development and distribution agreements.  He also assists clients with general corporate matters, including corporate maintenance, management of employment relationships and capitalization matters. 

• As transactional counsel to his clients, Vijay has represented numerous businesses as they seek to raise money through venture or debt financings, or exit through mergers or acquisitions.

Hailing from the Great Midwest, Vijay moved to Boston in 2001 to begin working with start-ups as an associate with Testa Hurwitz and Thibeault, LLP.  Since joining Gesmer Updegrove, Vijay spent a year living and working in Shanghai, where he learned just enough Mandarin and Cantonese to order the good stuff at a dim sum restaurant.
