Gesmer Updegrove LLP, at the forefront of technology innovation, is active in the area of wireless and smartcard telecommunications. We are experienced in the telecommunications industry and understand its challenges, needs, and strategic direction. For example, our attorneys have negotiated indefeasible rights of use (IRU) for fiber optic cable networks; dark fiber leases and leasing and subleasing of fiber optic capacity; and co-location and related facility agreements.

We are also experienced with industry-specific development, licensing, and service agreements. Given our understanding of our clients' products and applications, we secure wireless patents and negotiate on behalf of our clients with major carriers such as Fugitzu, Nokia, and Deutch Telecom. We also maintain close relationships with some of the largest and most influential wireless and telecom standard-setting associations and consortia. Our wireless clients have included companies that make exciting new applications for wireless products, including security, content-delivery, and high-encryption programs.
