Federal Trade Commissioners Rule Unanimously Against Rambus; Gesmer Updegrove Filed Amicus Brief Requesting this Outcome

The Federal Trade Commission ruled on August 2 that Rambus, Inc. had established an illegal monopoly in certain semiconductor designs by abusing the standards process. Gesmer Updegrove filed a pro bono, "friend of the court" brief written by Andrew Updegrove with the FTC in support of this outcome on behalf of 12 standard setting organizations, representing over 8,600 corporations, universities and governmental entities.
