Matt Connors provides his clients with a unique perspective. Matt has experience in a wide range of intellectual property matters, including the prosecution of foreign and domestic patents, trademarks and copyrights. Matt’s practice is focused on electrical and computer-related technology patent matters, with his scientific background dating back to his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering. Matt’s entrepreneurial approach help his clients make smart decisions and achieve optimal business outcomes.
What else makes Matt unique?
For one thing, Matt was an Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office before going into private practice. This gave him invaluable experience “from the inside” in assessing the patentability of inventions, reviewing patent applications to determine whether they comply with legal requirements, and communicating his findings to inventors. As a result, Matt knows what the Patent Office is looking for, and this inside knowledge and experience, along with Matt’s business savvy, provide a unique perspective to Matt’s clients.
Matt was previously a named partner of the well-respected intellectual property law firm Gauthier & Connors LLP, which merged with Gesmer Updegrove in 2011. Matt was born in Springfield, Massachusetts.
