The Department of Labor's Final Rule on overtime regulations that was expected to go into effect on December 1, 2016 has been put on hold by a federal court. On November 22, 2016, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction to temporarily halt the implementation of the Department of Labor's Final Rule. The Rule would have doubled the salary threshold to qualify certain exemptions from overtime requirements.
