Client Advisory – Implementation of New Overtime Regulation on Pause

The Department of Labor’s Final Rule on overtime regulations that was expected to go into effect on December 1, 2016 has been put on hold by a federal court. On November 22, 2016, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction to temporarily halt the implementation of the Department of Labor’s Final Rule. The Rule would have doubled the salary threshold to qualify certain exemptions from overtime requirements.

The Advisory describes the impact of this ruling and its effects on employers. It can be viewed as a downloadable PDF here.
