Kate represents corporate clients throughout all stages of the business cycle and particularly enjoys working with emerging companies to develop their ideas into successful businesses. She understands the complexities of building and growing a company, and loves working with her clients as a team.
Kate's practice includes the following corporate matters:
Prior to joining Gesmer Updegrove, Kate was a corporate associate at Mintz Levin in Boston, where she represented public companies in securities offerings and regulatory compliance, and private companies in financings and general corporate transactions. She also worked at an international law firm in Washington, DC, where she was the practice coordinator and case manager of the firm's business immigration practice.
As the daughter of an avid Norwegian skier, Kate loves the cold weather. She enjoys hitting the slopes at Stowe in the winter, boating on Lake Champlain in the summer and traveling as often as possible. She and her husband live in Back Bay with their jovial (albeit slower paced) English Bulldog.
