Client Advisory – Non-Compete Changes

The Massachusetts Legislature has attempted to pass legislation regulating non-compete agreements every year since 2009. This year, it finally succeeded. The new law, which will take effect on October 1, 2018, makes important changes who can be covered by a non-compete, how they must be compensated, and other aspects of this area of the law.  Joe Laferrera and Lee Gesmer have prepared a client advisory regarding these changes, which you can read here.
