Ruth Anzalone

Ruth has been with Gesmer Updegrove for nearly thirty years. She works mostly with corporate and marketing and is an all-around go-to person for assistance.

Ruth was brought up in Nashville, Tennesse, but moved to Boston to attend Emerson College and never left.  The same could be said of her time at Gesmer; why change what works?

Throughout college she worked at the Boston Public Library and Loew’s Copley movie theater. In 1993 Ruth answered an ad in the Boston Globe for a legal assistant at Lucash, Gesmer & Updegrove LLP.

Ruth is a musician and songwriter who has played venues throughout the Boston area and NYC. Recently she and her drummer husband Chris purchased a used records store and moved it from Cambridge to Somerville’s Ball Square.
