On Tuesday, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a final rule (“Final Rule”) banning non-compete agreements for all employees going forward. The Final Rule will go into effect 120 days after publication in the Federal Register.
While the Final Rule could be delayed by challenges in federal court, employers should begin to consider the implications for their businesses.
