Background & Experience
Experience
Before Gesmer Updegrove LLP, Raissa was a law clerk at Morse, engaging in various corporate transactions across diverse industries. Raissa also worked in Northeastern Law’s Community Business Clinic, where she successfully represented small business startups, advised them on the formation of entities and general business matters, and drafted their related startup documents. Raissa served as a law clerk for Boston Children’s Hospital and the Honorable Ojetta Rogeriee Thompson of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She was a member of Northeastern University School of Law’s Law Review, Social Chair of the executive board of the Latin American Law Student’s Association, and the Vice-Chair of the executive board of the Women’s Law Caucus.
Outside the office, Raissa thrives on adrenaline-fueled adventures like boxing, ziplining, skydiving, and white-water rafting. She also enjoys traveling, experiencing new cultures, and trying new foods. Her favorite trip was when she traveled across Kenya’s national parks (where she got to see the Big 5!). When she’s not seeking adventure, she enjoys watching the birds with her cat, Cherry!
